Welcome to the new Putti Factory webpage

In early modern as well as current Italian, the word simply means "child." Where to find putti: - You will find putti, cupids and angels in both religious and secular art from the 1420s in Italy, the turn of the 16th century in the Netherlands and Germany, the Mannerist period and late Renaissance in France, and all over Baroque ceilings. They also experienced a major revival in the 19th century. It would be too long to list all the artists, but the best known are Donatello and Raphael (with Giulio Romano and Giovanni da Udine), and all their followers. And of course at www.puttifactory.com.

Putti Factory was founded in Bergen 1993 by three art students: Jarle Grinde, Sven Tveit and Are Hundstuen, all with different approaches to art.

Comics:
Jarle Grinde is writing texts for some of the comics of Sven Tveit, their
comic Prima Secunda have been a great success in Bergenstidene for 10 year
now. Sven Tveit is autodidact and besides making outstanding comics he works
with illustrations for some of the biggest newspapers in Norway.

Furniture design:

Are Hundstuen is product designer and joined up with Morten Longum in 2001
making furniture design. Together they have been touring half of Europe
exhibiting furniture and gaining recognitions for their design. Now they are
working with several Norwegian and international furniture producers (link
her).
On the left side menu you will find the Putti Factory design team, showing
furniture, product design and interior projects from Are hundstuen and
Morten Longum. On the right side you will find drawings and illustration from
Sven Tveit.
